“Why should I blog?” A question that many companies often ask themselves, with the result that the question also remains unanswered. The importance of a blog on a website is all too often minimized. “It takes too much work and time” or “What do we get out of it?” we hear most often. But the benefits should not be underestimated. Maybe we can convince you with the following 3 reasons.
1. Content!!
If you’re not doing it for the informational value to your followers, just do it for yourself. A blog gives you so many possibilities for content for your social media channels.
It’s the ideal way to feed your LinkedIn page with relevant and interesting content. Also other platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, … can use this kind of content more than well.
So with 1 blog you already have at least 1 post on your social media. But… There is so much more content in 1 blog than you might think at first glance. Take certain parts out of your blog and play them separately on social media. You’ll see, your social media calendar will suddenly get filled a lot easier!
Hello Google!
You may still have the most beautiful website in your sector, but if no one comes to look at it, it’s time wasted. A blog creates extra traffic to your website.
Google loves it if you renew your website. New texts, pictures, adjustments, … All the new content on your website. This way Google knows what you are doing and can send it to the right target group on your website.
And if there is one thing that can change your website (weekly, monthly, …), it’s a blog!
Add to that sufficient internal and external links and optimize the SEO content and the Google algorithm does its job.
3. Reference in your sector
Is there not so much blogging in your sector yet? Ideal, because then you can become the reference in your sector with relevant information. Where else is your target audience going to find the information?
Is there already online competition? Don’t worry, analyze what your competitors are doing, give it a day’s rest and think about what you can do to make a difference. Where do your competitors get stuck? Which holes can you fill?
Oh wait...
If you are really still doubting whether you would start your own blog? Well… You ended up on this page, right?
Still a sign that blogging doesn’t leave you cold, otherwise you wouldn’t have viewed this page up to this point anyway? 😉
